About Course

Behavior and social-emotional support can have a huge impact on students in school. Paraeducators can play key roles in providing support for students in these areas. In this course, we will discuss the basics of behavior, such as where behavior stems from, the purpose of behavior, and helpful tips for working with students who struggle with behavior. We will also discuss the importance of mental health, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and well-being support for students and how you can help students in these areas. 

What Will You Learn?

  • Throughout the training, you will obtain an introduction to the world of special education and the role of the para educator at Legacy Traditional Schools. You will review the paraeducator roles and responsibilities, ethics and professionalism, legal foundations, and confidentiality. Have a great course!
