This session will introduce the recently established procedure for completing hearing and vision screenings prior to MET, IEP, and 504 meetings. Common points of misunderstanding will be reviewed and clarified.

What Will You Learn?

  • Identify the process to complete screenings at the beginning of the year for eligible students.
  • Identify the process to complete screenings midyear as students with disabilities enroll or get referred for an initial evaluation.
  • Understand how to move forward when students fail a vision or hearing screening.
