About Course

This series will provide paraeducators with knowledge to understand key vocabulary, major components with the students’ evaluation/IEP/504, and understanding the impact on the students’ learning. This series will provide paraeducators with knowledge to apply strategies for academic and behavioral interventions within the general education setting.

Paraeducators will understand district policies, procedures, and ethical and legal practices for implementing positive behavioral supports and interventions. Paraeducators facilitate positive social interactions and active engagement by students with disabilities in learning. Tasks performed by paraeducators are under the ongoing guidance and direction of the instructional team.

What Will You Learn?
