About Course

This series will provide paraeducators with knowledge to understand key vocabulary, major components with the students’ evaluation/IEP/504, and understanding the impact on the students’ learning. This series will provide paraeducators with knowledge to apply strategies for academic and behavioral interventions within the general education setting.

Paraeducators will understand various instructional strategies to facilitate student learning and address IEPs. Under the direction of the instructional team, paraeducators support specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. Paraeducators follow written instructional plans, implement accommodations and modifications, reinforce concepts presented by the instructional team, and use effective strategies to facilitate student learning, inclusion, and growth. Tasks performed by paraeducators are under the ongoing guidance and direction of the instructional team.
