About Course

High Leverage Practices in Special Education provides a clear vision of effective teaching practices for students with disabilities. Improving the effectiveness of teachers is the most direct approach to improve student achievement. In this 3-part course, you will learn practices that can be used to leverage student learning across service areas, grade levels, and addressing student’s abilities, needs and disabilities. You will explore best practices for implementation in terms of collaboration, assessment, social/emotional/behavior and instruction. The recordings for all three sessions have been added.
